Much as it has been Beven's destiny to be an artist, so also was his meeting with Wolfgang Stange, dancer and choreographer, who was to become his mentor - his guide, philosopher and friend -the catalyst upon whose urging Beven made his first tentative return to his birthplace and to the beginning of a fresh and vital experience.
